A few years ago, “live for the day” was my motto. I didn’t give much thought to my health or my appearance. Indulging in whatever food and drink I desired, with no exercise routine in sight, had become my daily norm. That all changed when a close family member’s passing served as a stark wake-up call. I suddenly realized I was hurtling toward a future of imminent health issues at a young age, with the damage I was doing to my body becoming increasingly irreversible. I had to make a change.
So, I embarked on a mission of discovery. What should a day’s worth of meals look like to maintain a balanced lifestyle? With my home as the testing ground and my wife’s unwavering support, we crafted a menu that embodied the essence of health and wholesomeness. Now, the question was, do I keep this newfound knowledge to myself or share it with the world? The answer was clear: I needed to bring this change to my homeland, Sri Lanka . Thus, Calorie Counter was born. It became the nation’s first authentic health food restaurant, where every calorie in your meal is counted, and you have the power to curate your daily intake. But here’s the secret sauce: as much as we focus on healthy and clean meals, we are equally dedicated to tantalizing your taste buds and satisfying your desire for culinary variety. We believe that healthy eating shouldn’t mean sacrificing flavor or excitement. Our menu is a testament to this philosophy, offering a delightful array of dishes that cater to your gastronomical needs.
My journey to better health began, but it took me a while to realize that the key to this transformation lay in what I put on my plate. Initially, I joined a gym, hoping for a scientific approach to shed those extra pounds.
